How to get the cheapest fare on a particular airline to travel to India

This is the question that most of us ask before searching out the best deal to travel.
There are a lot of airlines that fly to India using different routes. The best route is usually the shortest and expensive the worst route is usually the longest and the least expensive.
That being said, how do you get the best deal?
There are various things that can be done. First do your 1 hour of research on what route you like the best. You could search on the internet for various option and you need to contact a travel agent. The reason to contact a travel agent is because, there are certain deals the airlines have with code share partners that cannot be loaded online. The reason is that the main carrier having this deal is NOT the one flying you accross the water and trust me there are a lot of airlines in this situation. For Eg.
Jet airways has a fare form SFO to DEL via HKG. You can take UA or CX to Hank Kong and then Jet from HKG to India. Now Jet is the first carrier to fly you from SFO to HKG and hence this deal, cannot be loaded online, it is against a very basic IATA rule. This deal is only available with travel agents and it is the cheapest and best connecting flight to BOM.
Once you have determined which route you like the best, you can send out your request to 10 travel agents to try and beat the fare.
This will gaurantee you the best deal.
Beware, a lot of airlines are not allowing duplicate bookings, and they will cancel all your bookings if you go to a lot of travel agencies. so tread carefully otherwise you will end up with an expensive ticket.

With the summer vacation tickets selling like hotcakes now ... try and book early to get the best deal for the dates you want otherwise you will have to pay more or move your travel dates.

As usual, we are here to help you and will be on your side to get you the best deal

Travel to India in Summer

With summer vacations not far away, this seems to be the best time to look for deals to travel to India in summer. The competition within the airlines is so high for destination India, it is amazing how fares have been changing daily. Every airline trying to recover from losses they incurred last year :)
The trick to finding the best itinerary suited for your travel, would be looking for special deals from various airlines and of course calling your travel agent.
This is also the best time to take a break journey in Europe. I understand a lot of you want to get back home as soon as possible , but if you do not take a chance and take the stop and see different places, you never know if you will get that chance again. It is usually cheaper to take the stop than to do a seperate trip later. Europe travel has never been easier with so much being written about it. Take the plunge, take the break ... you need it.
Make sure whenever you buy your tickets, buy them from an ARC/IATA accredited agency. These agencies have gone through high degree of financial scrutiny before being accredited. They have all insurances and in  case they make an error, they will be able to help you out in certain situations.
Most of these agencies and especially MercuryTrip will match any price you get from home based travel agents and hence you can get a secure travel plan with the best prices.
Will post more on fares and best routes to take from most gateways.

So long ...
